I don't see what's so bad about putting advertisement like links to e-bay, etc on here. If everyone wanted to be technical and not post any advertisements on this forum, then NO ONE can post names of good companies to buy stuff from. Right????? that's advertising also.....if anyone does or doesn't agree, please tell me. to recap: i personally think there is no problem with posting links to ad here, just don't put the ad here, know what i mean?? Thanks and please correct me if i'm wrong. also, i know Kim is doing a good job here and i'm not critizing her in any way, but i hope she realizes this also (if she hasn't already)!!!!! !

I post links to sites that I find helpfull sometimes. But more often I ask the inquirer to email me for the link. I never post links to my own items on eBay as I believe that would be unfair. This is a disscussion forum and moves pretty fast, if everybody started putting ads and links here the posts would get lost in the system so fast that we would quit coming here. After all this is the number 1 tractor site on the web! ☺

I am kinda glad when somone posts a name or link to a product someone asks about, it has helped me find what I am looking for more than once. When someone is wanting help and someone posts a link, it is helping them get what thye needs. As for flat out advertising, that is what the classifieds are for.

If it is your item for sale on ebay, then it is advertising, if you are calling attention to an item and you don't know the seller it is ok. I list places to buy parts quite often, and usually know which ones Kim won't allow links to, in which case I just name the company, or if she doesn't allow that, then abbreviate, example VB.
