Oh Oh too much coffee for me this morning.
Heres a couple of plowing photos of my 400 and fast hitch plow.
Did I mention I really love that 400?

Kelly,
Nice pics, but I think you have a rare tractor on your hands. Is that the rare tranforming 400. I think it is capable of running on gas or diesel, dependent upon the feeling for the day.(The right side hood is off a 400D, right?) Wish I had a little ground to go do some plowing. Jaker

Yup. It was like that when I got it. I suspect it needed a replacement at one time or another.
I can just imagine were this 400 has been since 1956 until now. How many fields it has plowed in its long productive life.
Its gone from the main tractor on the farm to wagon hauler to loader tractor to consighnment auction. Then transformened back to getting a shot at being the main Farm tractor again.
It has done well.

Kelly,

If you love that old girl so much, why are you trying to sell her? Seems down right wrong to me.

I am not trying that hard to sell her. It would take a sahweeet deal to move her.
My 460 is another story. I would sell that one in a minute.

Long Prairie was a good town I was raised there. Its really gone down hill in the past years and really sorry to see that. Used to love that place.

Kelly look for a semi mount you will really like it and you can go back and plow the dead furrows in after your done. The way to plow the dead furrows in is to let the front of the plow down and leave the back end up just a little. You can plow those puppies in and not even see them again. It takes a little practice but can be done. I used to do that with a 540 ih plow and 656. It has to be semi mount to work. 3PT or fast hicth with cylinder on the tail of the plow.

Gorgeous pictures. Is there any way to fill in dead furrows with a Farmall 100 (SA-140 Family) with an IH 215 2x14 Fast Hitch plow? Thanks Ramon

Kelly,
Great shots! Nice looking furrows! That 400 looks like it could easily pull two more plows in that black soil.

Sure, Kelly C. We know you just HATE plowing with that thing. Admit it, you want the 3 bottom just for the "manly" factor. (grunt, grunt, grunt)

Great pics. Can't wait to plow with my Super C.

Bill
