Hey guys,
Was wondering what a LP engine for a H would be worth, it has had most all the bolt ons taken off and gone. Basically we have got a block, oil pan, head and valve cover. We need to get rid of this and need to know a fair price. Or else we are going to strip it down and go a piece at a time, Johnny Cash sure would be proud!

There is no such thing as an H LP, rather, the LP conversion was done after the tractor left the factory, so the engine is no different from any other Farmall H. If the engine you have is a good strong engine, good compression, does not use oil, etc, then you might be looking at somewhere around $400 to $600. If the engine is just so-so, cut that value in half.

Ah, I did not know that. Its on a tractor we are parting out and were considering just selling engine as a whole unit instead of individual parts. We have always been a Deere family so alot of the Farmall stuff is not that well known. I do like the Farmalls too.

What is the casting code on the head? I might be interested in it.
