Bryan...About 2 years ago I bought an adapter from the business in the "picture of adapter" link. The adapter was made wrong. A hole was drilled all the way thru it when the hole should have only gone part way thru the adapter. I fixed it myself and just figured I got the bad one in the batch. Maybe you got a bad one also??
It's been too long of a day to be positive about which hole was drilled wrong but I think it was the hole on the adapter that would divert fluid to the remote valve.

Bryan... Yes, I had to plug part of a hole. I tapped the hole first and then I used a bolt to actually plug up a portion of it.
Can you picture which hole and the portion of the hole that needs plugging?
email me if you need more specifics and I'll try to help.

Pete

i dont think that its a bad one in the bunch. i think that they are makeing them wrong. so as a warning to anyone who may want to buy a block, the block from jp tractor salvage is wrong. it is drilled all the way through and the block should only be drilled halfway.
thanks to all who replied and helped me.

So you are saying that you cannot use your touch control unit at all? Or if you are using aux.Hyd. setup your touch controls don"t work. The reason I ask is I was thinking on doing something similar with my super A.

It appears the blocks are drilled straight through, and, if so, maybe it IS necessary to chain down the lift arms (as I mentioned in my previous post) to get pressure to your auxillary valve. Did you buy the adapter from that outfit? they surely would have instructions for them.
