I have a 1947 Farmall H with a gravity bucket hydraulic loader (not on tractor currently). I have used this tractor all summer raking hay and it has new rear tires. Painted in shop class about 15 years ago so still looks pretty good. What is the value of this combo and how do I reach potential buyers?

I think the value has a lot to do with where you are. I know that in western NY, tractor prices are quite a bit higher than they are in the midwest, mostly because of supply/demand. The supply is not so great here, and the demand is steady. To me, a H with a loader in good condition with new tires is worth $1500 minimum....but that is for this area....Look through the local classifieds, penny savers for comparable tractors and go from there.

Just my dumb opinion but I think Hs are worth way more than what they are bringing.

$500 because of the new rear tires, another $400 because the tractor runs and has been in current use. A trip bucket type loader usually won't bring much more than $100 to maybe $300, so you are looking at a potential of $1,200. This is just a quick appraisal based on the information you have provided. You may be able to get $1,200 for the tractor without the loader, and sell the loader separately. Just my opinion.

When you arrive at an asking price, put it over in the classifieds on the left of the page. Good luck!
