The hydraulic cooler in front of the radiator on my 1066 hydro started leaking. I'm having a trouble finding a replacement or someone who can repair it. Does anyone know if these can be repaired or if a hydraulic radiator from another tractor or combine might work or be modified to work. The radiator is fairly large it's approximately 2.5' x 3.0'x 1" with a couple of slip on conections for hydraulic lines on the right side. Any help would be appreciated cause I really like this tractor and would like to keep it running.

Thanks,
Daniel Ovaert

The hydraulic cooler on 1066 hydro's is a very hard part to locate. It's actually a heavy guage aluminum radiator that most radiator shops won't touch.
I did find someone in Dallas that would build me one for $700.00. I would have gone on and done that except it was going to take a month to build
and I needed the tractor. So I decided to see if I could find one. I was looking at the radiator in my shop and decided to try a temporary repair. So I presurized the radiator and precisly located the leak. It was a small pinhole leak on one of the cores. I then cut the fins out around the leak and cleaned the area with muratic acid. Then I put foil tape on one side and filled the cutout area with JB weld. It worked! I have been using the tractor for months with out a leak.

Regards,
Danny

Hi Dan, Any automotive radiator shop can probably repair that hydraulic cooler. If if isn't repairable they can probably get a similar new replacement.

Look for a shop that does AC work on cars, they usually do radiator work too. At least here in the East they do. Good Luck, Hal
