I have 340 Farmall with a wide frontend. It has two hyd levers on the righthand side of the tractor. It also has two quick couplings on each side of the tractor near the fuel tank. Does this set-up sound like it is for a loader and what loader should I be looking for. I would be using it to move snow. Thanks in advance PUTTER

I have a 300 Farmall that I put an IH 2001 loader onto. Hooked the loader hydraulics into the lines by the gas tank that you asked about. Works fine for me. I mainly use it as a fork lift, being careful as to not overload the front end, but also to pile snow up in higher piles so that I don't run out of room with the snow removal.

I think you are describing hydraulic outlets for implements to be hooked up to the L and R sides of the tractor. I believe that is what the valve levers you describe would operate. My 240 has those levers (not working) and those two outlets on a hydraulic pump under/near the fuel tank, but my loader is powered by a separate pump in front of the grill and there are two other control levers for it on a box bolted outboard of the 3 levers next to the dashboard. I am not an expert, however.

Putter, mine is a 240 Utility. The loader I have is either a Husco or a Hy Controller evidently made in Waukesha, Wis. I can't tell which make because of many layers of paint over all ID plates. Perhaps Husco only made the hydraulic valve controls; there is evidence in a casting to make that conclusion. I really like it alot as the bucket is plenty large (2x the size of a Kubota or Cub Cadet) and has serious power behind it. Like you want to, I plan on using it for moving snow banks around a large yard if I can get the unit started (don't have a shed or barn, only a heavy canvas tarp) in January here in NH. I have already been using the bucket for split cordwood and wood chips and I drag trash evergreen trees with great success with this thing.
