Is the rear light on a Farmall BN supposed to have a switch?

Do you mean the combination tail light- the ones with a straight light and a red light? They had a seperate switch on the light itself.

I agree with Steve. Rear light is controlled with same switch as front lights and is always on bright.

My BN, which seemed fairly original, didn't have a switch. In fact, the way it was wired was that it is always bright, whether the fronts are on Dim or Bright.

Personally, a seperate switch makes sense. My ford has a work light with it's own switch. It's nice to be able to use it for working with the tractor off, and not worry about the headlight drain.

Take Care
Steve
