Where is the place to check the hydraulic fluid level on these things? I have a slight leak on the right side and want to see how low it is. I just got the tractor on Friday and don't have the ops guide yet, but I couldn't find it in any obvious location. (not as easy as my '57 LoBoy is!)
Thanks!

I'm more familiar with the 240, which the 404 is based off of. However, there were some pretty major hydraulic changes made. Seeing that no one else has answered yet, I'll make a guess. On the 240, there is a plug on the top of the left side of the transmission case, right behind the clutch housing. Takes 1 1/4" wrench. I just fill it level full.

My tractor has an all-in-one hydraulic system that is under the seat. I called a local dealer and they weren't sure either. I will have to track down an operators manual to nail it for sure. Thanks for the response!

The level plug is located on the left side just behind and just above the axal center line. It is a 1/4 drive plug.
