I just picked up the larger of the 2 belt pulley's for my 1948 Farmall H model. It is in good shape, but I would like to replace, or have the canvas re-honed or something to make it look nice again. Is there someone that can do this, or what have some of you guys done to clean up your belt pulley's for restoration?

tanner, if you pulley is sound I would recomend coating it with white (clear) Shellac. It will make the paper firmer and gives it a nice protection. Use several coats.

Holy moly, they are very expensive. based on the price sheets, it would cost $130 to redo the belt pulley that I have.

That's why all my paper pulleys stay in the shop and the tractors go naked unless I need one for belt work.

There is a place that advertises in Red Power magazine.

info@paperpulleys.com

I haven't used their services so can't give a recommendation. Maybe others have.
