I just had my sleeves bored to 3 7/16 from the original 3 3/8 size. I don"t think you could go much over that if you did you might have a hard time finding some suitable pistons.

just got a set of 300 pistions and was thinking I would use them, what did it cost you to have the sleeves bored?

Hey Punchie The only way to do that is go with the 300 block you cant bore a h sleeve to acomadate a 300 piston. If you have the block bored then you can go with the 300 sleeve. I dont know what the going rate for line boaring is. JON

I think the only thing you can do with a regular bore and dry sleeve is to maybe go over ten thousands or so to acomadate larger rings for a rebuild . If you want to go way over you have to bore the block right out then order a large dry sleeve to fit in its place then either bore it or have it ordered in the right size. Or maybe its a new wet sleeve I am not completly sure but theres a local machine shop that does it for a guy that pulls. JON

Hi Ted, I do not think you would want to hone
or bore a sleeve larger. There's probably a sleeve and piston kit available that would allow you to install bigger pistons so you can increase the engine displacement. The sleeves are thinner
since they're bored bigger so they will accept
a larger piston. Hal
