IH cotton pickers?

When I was a kid (2years ago) my neighbor had a bunch of IH 2 row cotton pickers. I think the model # of them was 782? or something like that. They had three wheels, cabs w/out air and seemed to be decent machines. My neighbor went bankrupt and sold them all. I am curious if anyone knows anything about such a critter and what one would be worth today, or if its even worth trying to fix. Thanks Caleb

IH 782 two row cotton picker was built in both high drum and low drum versions from 1978-1982. It replaced the previous IH 616 low drum and IH 622 high drum pickers. Can"t advise you on current value. IH two row models up to this point were: 214 low drum & 220 high drum, 214A low drum and 220A high drum, 414 low drum and 420 high drum, 416 low drum and 422 high drum, 616 low drum and 622 high drum, 782 low & high drum.

So, when were the 214 or 214A pickers made? I have one on the farm, and the cast date on the engine block is N for 1944? I doubt they spent the time and energy to design new machines during the war.

IH 214/220 came out in 1957. IH 214A/220A was introduced in 1959.
