When I took the radiator off my B for repair, I found that the whole front end of the tactor is cracked where it mounts to the block. It evidently had been welded before but didn't hold. Can this be successfully repaired or do I have to replace? If replacement is needed, what are some good suppliers for this type of part? It looks now like a good bump in the road might knock the whole front right off the tractor.

You should replace it because it is a critical part that can lead to tragedy if it breaks on the go. A welded part like that will also be an issue to any buyer if for some reason you were to look to sell it some day.

Old, I e-mailed you the same question so forgive my repetition if you already received that: do you have a crankshaft you want to sell?, I guess mine is shot (B). Thanks
