Hey, Guys, I hope you don't mind my horning in on your discussion. The serial number 340007 is actually for a 1950 H. Don't know what happened, but it definately looks like the plates been switched.

Someone has switched plates on you -- the last M serial number was 298218. You need to check several casting codes on the cast parts of your tractor in the format month*day*year. The years are consecutive letters beginning with I for 1939 thru X for 1952, except that V was not used and U and W both indicate 1951.

Boy, Is my face RED. I realy jumped the gun on that one. Rustyfarmall is right. I went back to the serial # list, and according to that it should be a 1952 year. I appoligize for all the erronus info. I sure do hope it is right this time.

Boyd

Too many digits in the serial number for it to be a 1941.

There is a picture of the serial plate. Unfortunately, I did not clean off the prefix.

I am not getting the pictures, but the prefix for an M would be FBK.

You have to sort of read between the lines to decipher the serial numbers, your number, 340007, is greater than 290923, which is the first serial number for 1952, which makes yours a 1952.
