Are there any kind of markings or other ways to identify original fenders for an H? A set of fenders is coming up on auction this weekend but I wouldn't know if they are what I need. Not many around here had fenders on their Farmalls.

Look up the finder for your H in the parts section of this site....the finder fits the H and the M ....they have a flat mounting plate wth 4 holes they match the holes in the axel housing....the finder is nearly flat with about a one inch ,rolled edge all around.....you can make extenders useing 1/2" steel plate....cut short pieces of 1/2"pipe to set under the plates to raise them off housing....set them out to about the greese fitting on the axel housing.....ihave seen a good set of finder bring $300 good luck..

Same for around here, I never saw a set of fenders on an H until this collecting bug bit me.
I suppose there might be some markings stamped into the brackets, but I do not of any markings on the fenders themselves. As far as I know, the same fenders were used on several different models of Farmalls, so if they look right, they probably are what you want. You might look through the tractor photos to get an idea.
