I need to know where the best place to buy a complete engine rebuild kit for a cub. Also how can I tell what year model this cub is with out the tag. Thanks for any info.

Check with any automotive store that sells Sealed
Power products. Call Federal-Mogul if you have problems finding a distributor at 1-800-325-8886.

Have the cylinders been bored oversize? You can get the rod and main bearings from them too.

The engine serial number is stamped on a flat-milled spot on the left side of the engine block just behind the oil cap/breather and just below the head.

Yes you will have to get the serial of the motor or if you have a digital pic alot of the guys here and at farmall cub .com may be able to tell you close enough to buy parts. If you want to contact me personaly I can give you a price on a complete kit as well. H4magman@wmconnect.com

There are casting numbers on it in places they will be some thing like 10-18-C and the C will stand for the year. Sorry I don't have the code for what each letter stands for. As far as a kit I'd try Value bitl or this web site.

If you fing engine numbers and post them on this forum, it is amazing what people can find out about ur tractor. So just fing an engine number. It should be stamped into ur engine on the side. Post it here and someone will know.
