The 460 Utility is derived from (with increasing age) the 350 U, 300 U and W-4. In this line, it was in the 350 that first had diesel, though I don't think the 350's unusual Continental 193 diesel engine was carried to the 460.

Loosely, maybe. The 300U-up don't have much in common with the W4/Super W4, as they were designed as utility tractors, rather than tillage-only wheatland tractors. The 4 cylinder engines in the 300/350 are the same as in the W4 except for CID and compression, etc. The transmissions and rear ends are similar. But, I consider the 350 Wheatland the replacement for the Super W4 There was no 300 Wheatland. There was no 460 wheatland, either.

There was such a tractor as a 460 Wheatland.

You are correct -- never seen one, it is mentioned (barely) in Ken Updike's 1955-1985 book. I knew there were Orchard and Grove tractors. Another of "my never heard of it so it must not exist" statements -- sorry.
