I have a super c that starts and runs fine for about 10 minutes, but then starts to kick and spit and then stops running. If I wait a few minutes it will start again only to repeat the same scenario. It seems as if gas is not getting to the carb.

Thanks for any input.

You can prove to yourself it is gas. When it stalls out jump off and open the bleeder valve on the carb. You will just get a trickle out, and then it will stop.
Install an inline gas filter. Flush the tank or raise the intake pipe so you don't get all the crud.
Good Luck!

If it runs 10min it is not gas either coil or condenser. Start tractor and use hairdryer on mag or dist which ever you have and see if it doesent speed up problem of sputtering and stopping.

I had an A and a 300utility that would both do the same thing 10 min or longer then stall. Both times I was advised by people on this board that it was the coil, my problem turned out to be rust in the tank both times. We all have experiences that lead to our opinions, but I wouldn"t be too quick to tell someone they are wrong. Geoff NY

Give it a LITTLE ether when it starts sputtering to confirm it is not a coil or condenser acting up.

I'm assuming it is not putting out black smoke indicating it is flooding.

It also could be a piece of trash floating around in the fuel tank. On more than one occasion I've seen organic debris plug the fuel opening only while the tractor is running.

Make sure the fuel cap is vented. Try a run test with the cap off.

Hi, Disconnect the fuel line at the carburetor
and see if gas flows freely. If it doesn't flow out you may have blockage in the tank or sediment bowl.

If the gas flow appears ok, your carburetor
probably needs to soaked in carburetor cleaner and cleaned thoroughly and install a carburetor
kit. Check for varnish deposits in the tank too.
Good Luck, Hal

Sounds like bits of rust getting stuck in the fuel line. Try cleaning the sediment bowl screen and the screen at the carb inlet, usually a temporary fix. I usually take the tank off and clean it then seal it for a permanent fix. Good luck Geoff
