I am looking at a 1930 Farmall Regular. It is in excellent shape and engine runs strong and well. Question is , the cooling system is gravity fed off the radiator and the outtake is hot and the intake on bottom is not. The coolant is not extremely hot. Is this normal or is the lower section blocked? Also may have some coolant leaking into oil. What do you guys think?

Thanks,

PVF

Regarding the coolant in the engine oil. The Regular used a wet sleeve principle and used rubber O-rings to seal the coolant from crankcase. I would think that would be the problem. You could also have a small crack in the block but imagine the sleeve seals are the problem. Pull your engine pan or look up through the inspection holes and see if coolant is leaking around the sleeves. You will have to pull the head and sleeves to correct the problem. I'm doing the same thing right now and have the sleeves at the engine shop. The seal grooves were bad and the shop is fixing them up for me. Hope this helps.

When you work on it, pull the sleeves and clean the block of rust, crud, etc. to inprove cooling.

Sounds normal. Those systems work by "Thermosyphon" the coolant in the motor rises as it heats then lowers in the radiator as it cools. Just the opposite of a pump type system.
