You have suggested using a detergent oil 10W30 or a non detergent oil SAE 30.
Be aware that once you start using a non-detergent oil you can not use a detergent oil. Non detergent oils leave a sediment on parts which builds up over time. This is not a bad thing. But if you switch to a detergent oil the sediment will come loose and go into the oil access points of your engine and block lubrication.
I used a non-detergent SAE20 in a competiton car for years. We never had a problem with lubrication.

In MO 10-30 should be fine year around. If you work it hard in the summer, you could switch to 30 during that time.

Up here in the tundra (Dakota territory LOL) where it can get to -25 F(not counting wind-chil) or colder any given winter I dump 5W-20 in my M with the snow pushing loader on it. I like it to "spin" at -25 F and fire right up!

I also use 15w40 year round. original manuals called for sae 30 in summer and sae 20 or 10 in the winter depending on the temperatures. but oil has changed alot since these recomendations were made.

I use 10-30 the year around, "M" starts good at -30 and at 85,about our high in the summer, maintains 50# pressure at 175 temp.on the gauge.

I use 30 or 40 weight all year round, I let the engine run 5 minutes before working it in the winter. I also live in Missouri at the lake of the ozarks

As many answers as there are people. 10W-30 is ok in the winter for your climate. Change to 30W in warm weather. But, I use 15W-40 year around.
