Hello,

My friend has an H and he is trying to replace the light bulbs. He bought a replacement from NAPA and IH dealership and the bulbs are not as bright (not bright at all) as the originals. The originals are (6 volt) Mazda type by GE (#1133). Where can he find the Mazda type?

Thanks,
Warren

Warren - You sure NAPA didn't sell him #1156 (12 volt) instead of #1133 (6 volt) lamps? They look identical. And an 1156 will light, though will be dim when operated on 6 volts.

Incidentally both lamp numbers are rated at 32 candlepower when burned at their design voltage.

If you indeed have #1133 lamps, another possibility for dim lights is a bad ground or a poor connection somewhere.

Hey Bob,

I'm not sure he had the right bulbs but I think so. I do know that when he put the new bulb in, the old bulb on the other side was alot brighter.

He needs to check the ground and wiring. 1133 is the right number and should be the same no matter who made it. To verify it try switching bulbs from right to left.
