Do all IH Super H's have hydrolics?
A tractor labeled as a "Super H" sold here in Illinois this weekend for a pretty high price, but it had no hydrolic system. I was under the impression that all Supers had such systems.

Yes you could get a SH without hydraulics. I purchased a 1953 SH at Glen Elder, Kansas that did not or had it ever had hydraulics. No belly pump or engine driven pump. The holes for the belly pump outlets were pluged with factory plugs.

It was in good shape all around with good tires. Found a series II with a WF and 3 pt so I sold it at a consignment sale and it only brought $975 mainlly because it didn't have hydraulics.

The reference John made to series II is important here. They built about 30,000 Super H's and about 2/3's of them were series I which still had the belly pump system and the battery under the gas tank just like the straight H's.

Thomas: Lot of letter series tractors have been mislabeled with Super decals. A good auctioneer will check out serial number and casting codes to verify he is selling what is advertized. In some jurisdictions it is an offence with quite heavy fines.

My point is quite a few H's came without hydraulics, I doubt if too many Supers did. However the belly pump system was an option in the early days at least, maybe always. Like Andy said it is quite easy to remove as well.

Are you sure?

It could have had a belly pump with no hoses, or it could have been removed.

The early Super H came with a belly pump, which the dealer could order without.
