Wanting to know if a single front wheel was uncommon in red paint. I just got a Farmall H with a single front wheel. It sits on steel wheels right now but I also got rubber tires as well. Thinking of selling it or trading for a green tractor.

If you are referring to the single front steel wheel, they are fairly rare. The rubber tire single is rare in my part of the country, but seen regularly in many southern states.

Nothing uncommon at all, in fact, I have been to several auctions where the seller had one or more of these single front units which had been removed from the tractor. In most cases, you can't give them away.

Hi ya Rusty,

Yeah, they can't give 'em away and I can't find one to save my soul..... :>)

To me, an H just doesn't look normal with anything but a single 16" tri-ribbed single front end. Guess it is what you are used to.

Allan

Allan, are you looking for an original type with the heavy cast center?

Hi Rusty,

Yes, the 16, not that little 10", with the heavy center and a good useable bearing/shaft assembly.

Thanks Pard,

Allan

Really, on the green side of things this ups the price, because theis tractors were less common., and have it be a steel front wheel even harder to find. I have been lookin at all the pictures of Farmall H's and have yet to find a picture of one. Thanks, Brian Nielsen Austin, Texas

You live in the part of the country where they are most common, particularly to your south. -- very common for vegetables. Most farmers had the single front and dual front (NF). My dad had one with SF, NF, and WF. 80 miles north of Laredo.
