I am looking at purchasing a 71 International 2656 Industrial. I just wanted to get a little info.
What is the HP rating on this thing. I was thinking 60HP or so, but the owner said 110??

How much does this thing weigh?? I have to haul it 100 miles, and need to know if my trailer will handle it.

Are these things expensive to work on?? And any known weaknesses.

Looking for a loader to put on it. Any I should look for.
Would 4700 be a decent price for one?? In good shape w/ rebuilt diesel motor???

Thanks in advance.

They were right around 65 horsepower, although it is possible to crank them up to 110. If that was the case, I'd stay away. Figure it weighs at least 7500, could be pushing 9500 if it has fluid in the tires or any weights. I'd get the owner to weigh it before running 100 miles if you are in any doubt that your trailer can't handle it. I'm more familiar with the the 656 Row-Crop, Gear Drives are very reliable and easy/inexpesive to work on, Hydro models can get expensive fast. As far as loaders go, an IH 2250 is hard to beat, just make sure that someone dosen't try to sell you mounts that won't work. IH 2000 and 2001 loaders are common on tractors that age, but often take a little modifying when going from one model to another. $4700 is just about right.
