Cant get my 14 runing

Went out to play with my F14 this morning and ended up spending all day trying to get it to start.mag is firing good,sems better than it usually fires when bench testing.Carb is clean and has one of Rices new floats in it,it was running fine two weeks ago.Floods real easy now for some reason,anybody got the float setting handy?

Thanks guys but we got it this afternoon,the needle was the source of the problem,the rubber tipped kind kept hanging closed,put my old steeltiped on back in and a few minutes later shes a running agagin!Thanks!

Take that new float out and shake it. I"d put money on it that you will find that it contains gasoline having gotten in through a hairline crack. It happend to me with my F-12. Quite a source of frustration.

My F-14 is that way sometimes. I don't have the float setting but you might put a hotter spark plug in it and don't use Champions. That helped a lot on mine. I had it at a show one time with no extra plugs and they fouled. Pulled it for about a mile before it started. Now keep the plugs in the truck all the time. Napa can tell you what they can get that are hotter. Good luck. Fred.
