there is a screw holding a connector on the distributor housing and the same on the distributor cylinoid ....is there a wire between them????looked at a wiring diagram and can"t tell...any help is great...

If your tractor is hooked up as original, (+) ground at the battery, the power wire from the ignition switch connects to the (-) post on the COIL, and a short wire goes from the (+) post on the coil to the terminal on the distributor.
