Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if farmers do purchase roadside vegetation management machines, like shoulder mowers or boom mowers, hedge cutters and things like that.

Shouldn't it be better to do cooperative shopping on such items since they are rarely used and could be used by more than one farm.

I am not a famer but i have a paper to write on it so I'd greatly appreciate your help on anything linked to boom or shoulder mowers.

Many Thanks in advance

This does not apply to shoulder mowers but in eastern North Carolina, many farmers use boom mowers aka, offset mowers to maintain ditchbanks of the many canals there. Normally done in the fall after harvest. Makes the fields really look nice. Hardee is the most common brand. Gregory makes a heavier duty model that is used up off the ground to take out tree limbs.
