I love the old F-20/F-30"s but there does not seem to be very many discussions or talk about what guys are doing with these old beasts. To me, there is nothing cooler then when one of these old gals come under load and really start barking.
A couple years ago, I saw a pic of a F-20 w/ duals and a modified wide front doing some spring wheat drilling. I know there was a ton of implements and aftermarket acessories for these, but does anyone ever do anything or have any pics of these?
Just thought I would try and spark some interest and/or discussion in the pre-streamlined years.

My Pa had an F-20 on the farm when I was too young to do anything else but get a ride on it.It got replaced with an 861 Ford that we still use. Also had a '37 F-12 but it was too small and slow to do a lot with. I have a '37 F-20 NT and a '28 Regular NT that go to shows and are basically toys that I use whenever I can find a use.Just used the 20 to pull the Ford out of a mud bog I got into by accident while brush-hoggin'

Eric, I got started with my Grandfather's 1936 F-20. It was a real basket case and took 5 years to get restored. I don't even want to think how much $$$ I put into it. I also have his 1929 Regular, and a neighbor's 1936 F-20. (I also have 3 M's, but we won't mention that here).

Maybe the reason not many people post about them is because they are simple and not too much to go wrong. I thoroughly enjoy running mine at the farm with its all steel wheels. I am trying to get the No. 7 Middlebuster ready for the Oktoberfest show on the 17th, but the weather is not cooperating.

I always liked the earlier one's- the one's that were gray. We don't have any, but we do have a Regular and a 10-20 McCormick Deering. Someday, I'd like to fix them both, especially the 10-20.

Visit this web site and check out the pages on the F-20, F-30 and heck, while you're at it, visit the Regular Page, too.

Ive got my great grandfathers F20 he purchased new in 1939. the motor is original and has never been overhauled. I would hate to think how many hours are on it. Its parade material now except for the few times we use it to grade the lane. they are great tractors

i know of a guy that has a f-20, some where along the line, it had a v-8 engine put in it, and a truck transmission too. has two straight stacks, and is louder than hell. although there is something to say when a tractor is passing the cars on the highway.

I've got a F14 and would like to have the others in the series someday. My F14 has a hyraulic lift and I have the plow for it. I've also got cultivators and a mowing machine for my tractor. I enjoy getting the implements and using them on these old tractors.

I would LOVE to find an F-Series tractor up here in the north to fix up, but they have always been very very scarce here (unless I'm not lookin' in the right places). Really like the look of the F-14's.

Jeff

My very favorite tractor to look at and maybe someday own is the Farmall F-20. My neighbor had one he didn't use anymore and I wanted to buy it but he wouldn't sell it, he kept it until the engine was stuck, the barn caved in on it then it sat in the pasture until the wheels rusted off. I am glad there are those others who are preserving the past way of life through rescuing and restoring old tractors and machinery.
