Doe's anyone have a listing of IH ser. no's.for British built tractors? I have one that i can't figure out what it is. All kinds of guesses as to model no. hp and year. The ser. no is A430003B001440 made in Great Britain, tach shows 1800 hrs and it has a BD-154 engine. Need to find out what it is in case it ever breaks down, also this tractor has cat 2 three point hookups on it, it's got me confused as to year and model. Thanks for any help.

Binder Books has a service manual for British 444's, the engine, at least was also used in the US 444, so the US parts catalog will be correct for it -- I can't help you on the rest.

I am familiar with the US gas 444. The configuration of your tractor to the US made one is identical. All the controls are in the same place. Of course the sheet metal and the dash are different, the fenders are the same. I would bet it is a 444. But, IH made several of this type tractor so I wouldn't bet my life on it. The engine matches, but I don't have any other data on the British ones.
