I need to buy a radiator cap for my 51 H
They sell long or short neck (pressurized) caps, and I am not sure what one I need.

How do I tell the difference?

Thanks in advance!

I don't think there is but one "correct" cap for your H.

You said it was pressurized, but I missed that, sorry--I didn't know there were two caps, the parts book does list two 67448DD, and 356710 R91. There is also a gasket 352639 R91 listed for 67448DD, I assume it raises it, but I don't know. I have a cap I got from OEM Tractor parts, the handle did not clear the grille, I just bent it up a little, that number is 67448DD, also. This is a guess, since 356710R91 is the latest cap that should be the correct one, if Case-IH still has it.

I'm not sure I have a good answer, but I found that the cap on my "H" is short and scraped the paint. I had to saw a piece off of it to get it to clear the top of the grill. I am glad to have the idea of getting a longer neck cap and will check with the auto part store.

On a 51 the radiator is pressurized. The changed occurred sometime in the early-mid 40's.
