Punch below for a few shots from the Western NY 2 Cylinder club plow day last Sunday. As you might expect most of the participating tractors were green. However there was a Minnie Mo, a Cockshutt and a pair of Farmalls working as well.

Lotsa fun!

Looks to me like fun afternoon, made me think about
the stories my dad has told about plowing for my great uncle when he got his john deere A.It left
quite impression on him,as he often mentions how
that was one of the bigger tractors in our area
at the time.

Shep - Grins back atcha from formerly soggy (but still damp) western NY!

Where are the Olivers? The guy with the JD R also owns a Super 77. It being a "2 Cylinder Club" sponsored event and all, he elected to bring the R to this one. And my father in law's 1850 (gas) became a no show after it developed a flat front tire Sunday morning.

BTW those album photos are reduced to 800 x 600 resolution to keep the file sizes reasonable. If you want a full resolution (1600 x 1200) of #16 post back your email and I can send it along...

Hey, that looks like a lot of fun, and it was good to see Farmall represented with the big SM. When/where do they have this program...both me and my dad would sure get a kick out of going...Thanks

Brian - for the last 3 years fall "plow day" has been on the last Sunday in September, and held at Stokoe Farms (between Scottsville and Caledonia). Fully expect it to be the same weekend next year - pencil it in on your calendar!

Thanks for another nice set of photographs. All are good ones. I especially liked #10. Did you have a lot of non-farm visitors coming to watch the plowing?

We indeed had a nice turnout of non-farm visitors stop by to observe the plowing.

Incidentally the guy running my Super M in #10 is a local machine shop owner who happened by. He's enjoying his first experience working an old tractor + plow. (Couldn't get the smile off his face afterward!)

Bob....I need to find a plow for my BN so I can bring some red to your pictures. There is an awful lot of green. Next year I promise! After working on the BN all summer, I just couldn't get the day off from the family!

Nice pics!

Take Care
Steve

Great photos Bob. Love the guy on the JD with a shirt and tie. I also like the contrast of people plowing the ground on old iron with a cell phone on their belt. Thanks for sharing
