Howdy, Im relacing the radiator in my 1950 Farmall H. Im replacing a non presuized radiator with a pressurized one, and new cap. Is there anything else that I need to do so this rad will be ok? Is the waterpump seal the same on both radiator styles? Thanks!

I had the studs busted/rusted off the bottom of a radiator on and H and had a friend weld a nut to what was left of them and they came out pretty easy. We did have to be careful though because it appears that the solder tried to melt a bit as well, but it is still holding,, hope this helps.

Anyone got some good ideas on how to repair the stud on the bottom. On my H radiator the studs are busted. I was thinking of making a plate with studs welded to it to remount the radiator.
Thanks in advance

You will be fine DT. Temp. between the pressurized and non pressurized is at most 20 degrees difference. That is only an 8 psi pressure at most.

If your tractor has the origional temp gauge, it might not read correct. Temperture gauges had a different part # for pressurized and non pressurized radiators.
