Can I use my Super C for brush clearing?

I have a SC that I put a 3 point on,and I use it to mow my yard with a new 72in Bush hog finish mower,and it does fine,but I mow about 2 times a week so it is not hard on my tractor at all,if I were going to bush hog a field,if a SC was all I had to use I would go with a 5 foot bush hog and raise it up and go over the whole feild first,then go over it again and let it down,it all depends on how high the grass is,but what I am saying is,work your way down,don't try to do it all at once,it would be to much for the tractor.

I think because of the size of your tractor, you might be able to get away with the 5', but they make a 4' too. You don't want a finish mower for what you want to use it for.....a rotary cutter is the best bet. Simple hook up too....I can have it unhooked from my tractor in about 15 seconds.

Just my opinions for what its worth.
PS I paid $685 for my 5' pull type heavy duty model at Tractor Supply.

Have you got a picture of your cutter?

I have the 7' HD model and I swear I could pull it with the old H (mine is a '51 too).

If you've got a Fast-Hitch, the 3-pt conversion is handy, and looks like this.

I've used a 60" 3-pt finish mower behind my Super C, and it handles it fine. I think a 5' brush hog would be OK as long as the weeds weren't too tall or thick. When I was looking for my SC, I saw a few with 60" (or is it 59") Woods belly mowers.
