For my F30, I am looking for the proper paint color and the manufacture that produces that color. It doesn't have to be top-end paint for show case tractors as it is for an outside display tractor.

I am looking for the type and color of paint for a 1928 F30 tractor. Since the tractor will be outside, I will need paint that can withstand the Wisconsin weather.

The first F30 was built in 1931.

PPG, DuPont, etc acrylic urethane -- must have hardener, best to let someone else do a one-shot deal, Iso's can make you very sick -- but you wanted the best paint.

It's either red or grey, depends on the year, post the year, and someone will give you the paint code. As to paint quality, if you use low end paint (farm store paint) and leave it outside, it will fade rapidly. Absolute minimum quality is the 2150 red sold by Case-IH, doubt if they have grey. Paint manufactured by PPG (70019) and DuPont (7410), etc will cost you about twice as much, but will last longer.
