The hydraulic pump cover on my 460 utility (same gaskets as row crop cover) had a single gasket when I removed it. The parts book shows two, thick and thin. It appears that this could affect the clearance between the pump gear and the drive gear. The hydraulics were noisy, which I attributed to a dirty filter and 50% water in the oil. But, am I supposed to use both gaskets, or if one, which one, or does the clearance in the gears have to be set? My set of manuals from Binder Books did not include a hydraulics manual.

CNKS they did have sort opf a shim gashet for the 460 pump I would think the thick gasket will work, but you will have the oil out so I think you can take the front bottom cover of the TA housing with the drain plug and see that the gears are not tight.

I have the pump out and ordered and received the thin gasket, which according to the comparison with the thickness of a feeler gauge appeared to be the one that was in it. When I received the thin gasket, however, it seems thinner than the old one. Thus the question -- I will have the thicker gasket tomorrow -- I will put it back together and check the play -- but I don't know how to measure it or what the specs are, if any.
