Hello,

I just bought a 1937 F-20. The motor is stuck. In fact everyone that has seen it says I just need to part it out and make more money then I paid for it. It is a rust bucket. But I like that challenge of restoring it. What is the best mixture of solution to pour in the engine to try to get it unstuck. The cheapest route as well.

Thanks,

Your friends may be right. There is absolutely no single item that will be 100%, nor is there a combination of items that is guaranteed to work every time. The least expensive thing I have tried is brake fluid and diesel fuel mixed equally. Others will tell you to use PB blaster, Kroil, even turpentine. I have tried them all. Depending on the severity of the rust, any of these solutions will work, or none of them will work. You can spend a lot of money on snake oil, or just start in drilling holes in the pistons and breaking them out of the cylinders. There is no magic cure.
