Is a 300 utility as far as new intake manifold the same as the H, SH, 300,350 . And how do they say a manifold will fit a H or SH when they have different carbs? JON

I put an H manifold on my 350 utility (with a 300 engine) It does exit up thru the hood, but I was able to find a Diesal Industrial hood on eBay with a factory opening in the right place. My existing carb bolted right up to it.

The original utilities had an elbow between the manifold and exhaust pipe that could be turned up to exhaust out the hood. The parts manual shows where to cut the hole

If you want to run exhaust up through hood they
will interchange. Some of the aftermarket manifolds
have slotted carb mounting holes so both carbs will work using bolts.

On the 300U, a down was standard, an up was an option, though I"ve never seen one. It shows in the parts books though.
