Here's a few before and after pics of the BN I've been working on. I needed this tractor like a hole in my head, but once I got started, I couldn't stop. Before:

After:

I restored it as faithful to original as I could. I got a hold of Guy Fay's book and realized the decals should say McCormick Deering, but "Oh well". Unlike the other tractors I restored, this one uses most of the original stuff. If there was a way to salvage anything, it was reused. Heres'More:

The amount of wrongs righted seems endless, so if anyone has any BN questions, I can probably help. I learned so much from the archives and from asking questions, that I can't thank everyone here enough. She's tight, drip free, and ready to pull the firewood wagon.

Hopefully she's ready for another 60 years.

Take Care,
Steve

Nice job. Will save pix for my wife to see, she practically grew up on one of those! (Unfortunately it burned in a barn fire, unsalvagable.)

Steve,

I agree with the others you've done one heck of a nice job on that old tractor. You should really be proud.

But ya know what? Ya did a very nice, neat job on your post as well..... ....kind of a sharp ol' devil 'taint ya? :>)

Allen....I'm not a guy that normally toots my own horn. But after sweating away on this thing for a year or so and burdening everyone with all my questions, I thought to post the results to show the results of your wisdom. Plus to toot my own horn. Ha!

One thing I did this time which I regret not doing before this was to take before and after pics. I've restorea JD L, and AC B, and a Ford 2N so far, but never took before pics. This was the best restoration, and the most rewarding.

Take Care
Steve

I remember being at the stage you are at just last spring and thinking "Ill never get this finished". Just keep plugging away, and be safe. I always liked the look of the C series.

Yes....this tractor was very original. It seems to have a very charmed life, as things were in primarily good shape.

Take care
Steve

Very nice Steve - very nice!!

If you are anywhere near Scottsville and would like to show it off, bring it over and display it at the antique tractor "plow day" at Stokoe's this Sunday!

Unfortunately I have a prior commitment, or I'd come. I want to thank you personally for all your help and especially for the wiring diagrams and troubleshooting charts on your phot pages. The old 6V system is working great!

Take Care
Steve
