jcwhitney only has 6v NEG ground alternators. is there a good place to find a 6v alternator that is pos ground? thanks alot.

Kellner; Wait a minute, if your rig is an older IH or Farmall, it should be negative ground to start with....so a negative alternator should work just fine. LOL Jim

Why not just convert the tractor to negative ground? It would be about as easy as reversing the battery leads, reversing the ammeter leads, and reversing the coil connections. After doing this, install your negative ground alternator. You will never know the difference.

If you have a good local mom-and-pop automotive electrical shop, chances are they can fix you up way cheaper than $125.00.

Yes there is. Antique Auto Battery 800 426 7580 in Ohio. Comes with choice of pulleys. $125.00 plus shipping. I have no connection with this out fit.
