I am in the process of restoring a 47 M. I took the radiator off and had it cleaned. the radiator shop told me that I needed a new radiator because the radiator was completely plugged up. Any suggestions about how to unplug the radiator.

After market radiators are readily available for under $250, The first one I got from India the hole for the steering was the width of the hole off, Returned it they sent me one from China. it fit in but the filler neck was to short to use the M cap. by the way both were 1 row of tubes short

You can find new and used radiators here on line. i would not try to fix your old one; motor jobs are expensive. Im having one done on my M right now.

Radiators are readily available -- If the radiator guy said he couldn't do it, I would believe him. If he tries, it will probably have more leaks that he can fix. --get a new one.

I took this radiator to a different shop and they said they could fix the radiator by rodding it. The old gentleman said he has fixed 100"s of farmall radiators in his career. thanks for all the info.
