Just about finished tearing down a '40 M, go the wheels off, and I found this. The casting is broken, although not on the section that the axle bracket pulls against, so maybe it's ok? Whatcha think? Is this wheel still ok to remount and use or is it only good for practicing some cast welding on?

Thanks,

- David

I sure wouldn't mount it.

With the ready availability of replacement wheels at a reasonable costs why would you risk the damage and possible injury of using this one? It might be useful as a weight on an old disk. My nickel Dick Davis
