Is there a company that will reline my H brake bands. And if so what is the cost? 53 dollars seems excessive price for new ones. I used to reline auto brake shoes when I was a teenager and it sure ain't rocket science.

Northeast Brake Equipment in Minneapolis. The cost is about the same as IH. I would avoid aftermarket bands. The backing was not as thick as original and I had three break on me.

I found the same. Relining was only $10. less than buying new linings and bands.

You should be able to have it done. I've had the parking brake band for one of my trucks done locally (Richmond, Va) and a friend has had tractor brakes done by the same shop. I also bought religned brakes for a Massey down in Johnson City, TN.

Was that at Clutch and Brake supply in Johnson City?? I've done business several times there to get old tractor clutch work done as well as brake relining. I've had very good results. I had disk brakes relined. Don't know if they would do the bands.

That should be the same place. I had drum brake shoes done there. I don"t see why they couldn"t do the band type. I know the one in Richmond was able to do bands.
