I have a Farmall C that I have bought a easy lift draw bar for but don't now how it mounts to the tractor or how it works. I have removed the standard draw bar and have tried to mount it under the tractor but the way I have mounted it , the draw bar doesn't lift off the ground. I have the bar that hooks to the hinging part hooked to the in side lift lever, first whole. The lift levers that I am talking about are the arms that move back and forth when you move the hyd. levers. I have mounted it where the old draw bar was and there is a bar that comes off the front of the draw bar that I hooked to the right side center of the tractor. When I move the hyd. levers the hinge part moves but the draw bar just lays there on the ground. So the hinging part is moving but not lifting the draw bar off the ground. The back of the draw bar also has a hyd. cyl. mounted to it. thats just laying across the draw bar. Does this hook up any where on the tractor to help lift the draw bar ? This thing doesn't look like rocket science but it's over my head ! If anyone has a picture or can help me out, you sure would make this old man happy ! Thanks for any help Scotty

It sounds like you have a Fast Hitch Set up. In that case, the hookup at the front is only to adjust the tilt of the implement and has nothing to do with the lifting. The cylinder you speak of does the lifting. Sounds as though you may be missing some parts that the cylinder mounts to. Also, you must have a remote valve to work the cylinder. Adding the remote will require tapping into the hydraulic system in a way that was not a normal part of the c without the fast hitch.

Thanks Haas, but I still don't understand how this thing works. I thought the bar that hooks to the hinging peice on the back toward the draw bar, hooks to the lift arms in the middle of the tractor right at the hyd. pump/resavor , so when I move the remote levers, that moves the bar which moves the hinge part back and forth. The hyd. cyl. that is in the back almost laying on the draw bar is what I thought lifts the back of the implement up by hooking a chain to the back of the implement and to the arm that is coming off the hyd. cyl. the tractor has two hyd. control levers .One is hooked to the long flat bar that runs to the lift arms and I was going to hook the other control lever to the hyd. cyl. to lift the draw bar but I think what you are saying is that the long flat bar that works the hinging part in the back changes the angle of the draw bar and some how the hyd. cyl. fastens to the tractor and that is what pushes the draw bar up and down, I just got to figure out how it does it. Thanks Haas Scotty
