I'm getting ready to put new decals on an H, and need help with where they all go. The H and farmall stickers are not the prob. I haven't seen a tractor with any of the others on it, their always gone. Shift pattern, pto warning, lights. The light decals I got are arched like this ^. That can't be right can it? It can't go across the top, the amp meters there. Any help on what ones were original and where they went originally would be great. Maybe I got a screwed up kit. Thanks..... .

I agree with the light decal and the shift pattern on the fuel tank. The PTO decal goes on the top of your pto shield (which you might not have on the tractor).

Decals are usually one of the last steps...so congratulations on finishing your project!

The curved decal goes above the light switch. Here in this picture the knob is gone off the switch and another incorrect switch has been added but the decal is right. There are two decals with most sets, for 3 and 4 position switches. (high & low charge)the little curved "open" sticker is for the radiator shutter rod.
I believe that most shifting pattern decals started out on the fuel tank. As far as the rest of them I doubt if factory workers always put them in an exact spot. I don't think they always got on straight!

Hi Howard,

Are you sure about that?

I would have sworn that the two new tractors (H & M) we bought were positioned like so.

Thanks guys in reply to Allan in NE, 09-16-2004 06:29:33
Thanks for all the help and laughs. My switch is positioned like allens. Although they can be in the oposite position, my m doesn't have a sticker on it because I never new where the knob should be. Thanks again.

I had not even thought about the position. I assumed the man would put oit on to correspond with his switch.

This one was restored 11 or 12 years ago by an old farmer down in Kearney, NE.

Not saying it is right, only that he must have remembered it that way too.

We raised dry beans and were forever using the darned lights on these things....I remember the decals over on the left, 'cause they were so darned hard to see.

Should have been placed up on top like Howard says.

Who knows????? :>)

If the knob on the switch is positioned correctly the decal has to be on the side, like in your picture. I suppose a person could reposition the knob and put the decal wherever it was handy, but to be original it needs to be on the side.
