I just got myself a 300 utility and started tearing it apart and noticed, I have no idea what I"m looking at. It might be because this tractor is twice as old as me. Anyhow I wanted to know which service manual does anybody recommend. I looked at them on this sight and there"s only about 30 different manuals. any suggestions would help
Thanks in advance
Wes

Get your manuals from Binder Books--503-684-2024. For the Service Manual GSS300U set -- Contains an engine manual, and "Blue Ribbon" manuals for the brakes, transmission, etc. Parts manual is TC57A; Operator's manual is 1004380. Ask the person on the phone for confirmation of the numbers in case I screwed up. I support this site, but Binder Book's manuals, for the most part, are digitally reproduced, and have excellent text and diagrams, other companies manuals are a little fuzzy at best. In between are the ones from your Case-IH dealer. All these manuals are copies of the orginal. I&T also has service manuals, uses IH diagrams, but the the text is different, IH and I&T work well together.

I agree about the IH and I&T complimenting each other. When I was redoing the trans and rear end on my H it was often easier to figure out what to do with two different versions of the instructions.
