I need the white panels that run front-back under the hood for my 1962 560 gas row crop. In the YT ads there is some 460 "utility" sheet metal for sale. It the hood length shorter (front to back) on a utility model or should that fit on a 560 row-crop?

I can't specifically answer your question, but most of the ads I have seen sell the panels that fit under the hood over the engine, not the shorter panels under the gas tank or dash, or any corners. These are repro's and are available for the 460/560 row crop, I think the 460U (that I have) would be too short. It looks to me like you could get, say a 560 engine panel and cut it to fit anything else, with the exception of the corners, PROVIDED they are all the same height. The cut panels would not have the indentation for overlap though. I have a similar problem, in that I am missing a short panel under the gas tank, a corner, and an under dash panel for a 460U -- I have not seen these advertised. If anyone has these, or knows a source, I would appreciate knowing. Another source for the panels you want is Steel Wheel Ranch--I think they are cheaper than some suppliers--785-548-7437.

Regarding the overlap indentation aspect, I'd take the sheet metal parts to a sheet metal shop that does custom fabrication work. Most fab shops have tools for making custom bends in sheet metal. I'd also let them do the measuring and cutting because they will know how much metal is needed in the bends. You may find they can make the entire part from scratch.

There is a for sale ad in the YT classifieds on this site right now for 460U sheet metal. Just do a search for "460", that is how I found it. Good luck!

Thanks a lot! He has the parts I need. You might give him a call and see if he has the row crop parts. He says that none of the pieces interchange between utility and row crop.
