I was told Valspar (spelling) manufactures paint for Tractor Supply Co. and IH-Case but the quality of IH-Case is a higher quality. This from a guy who paints a lot of tractors. Any clue of the new IH-Case white is the same as what was original on the 240/340? If not, could someone provide me with the color codes and companies? I make a copy of the specs provided on this site and would like input. Thanks for your input.

For IH red, I would use none other than Case IH 2150. It is the highest quality paint I have EVER used, and anything I will ever paint red again will be used with that same can of 2150. I thought I was paying for the same, but actually I was paying for true paint quality. For IH white, I am not sure what my dealer carries, but Tractor Supply Co. IH white is not bad. The white doesn't stand out nearly as much as the red needs too. That's my two cents.

Valspar did supply some paint to Farmall and the other IH plants but most of it came from MOLINE PAINT MFG. when I was at Farmall in the late 70's/early 80's. I'm not even sure they're still in business.

I did some checking: after computer hunting and calls -> Moline Paint Manufacturing Company was bought out by Libby Industries, which was in turn bought out by Valspar. A side note. I called Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa because I read on the internet that Moline Paint was involved with a school program there. I couldn't find any listing on-line. A young lady answered and I told her...and her reply was "I don't know how I can find a number?" To which I replied, "do you have a phone book?" I'm almost sure I have days I respond like that also...

Not sure of the white color code, but someone will know. There is more than one white. Case IH 2150 red is called an "acrylic modified enamel". Tractor store paint is alkyd (sp?) or synthetic enamel. Synthetic enamel is the same low quality paint that came on your tractor. One step up from Case-IH 2150 are the acrylic enamels made by PPG, DuPont, etc; one step up from those are the acrylic urethanes made by the same companies. Acrylic urethane will cost roughly twice what 2150 does, but you get what you pay for, acrylic enamel maybe $20 more a gallon than 2150, haven't priced any lately.
