What is the simplest way to remove the bull pinion gear and cage from an H. I see that the bull gear is in the way of just unbolting it and pulling it out. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Jeff

Basically you need to remove the lid so you have a half day of work ahead of you. I know on the M, you can go through the PTO hole and unbolt the bull gear. Not sure there is enough room on the H.

Yes, you can go through the PTO cover to slide the axle out and move the bull gear on an H. I've done it once, and if I remember right, there wasn't any more room than absolutely nessecary!!

Gonna have to tear it all apart, axles have to be removed, or slid out to get the bull gear off the axle shaft. once you get the bull gears out, then you can remove the bull pinion cage. Did you break the cage? ChadS
