Here's my problem, I had a leak in the pump. Thought at first the body was cracked. Pulled the pump off, and when I did the mesh gear and nut fell off in my hand, only one thread holding it on. The shaft and the gear are worn egg shaped. First of all, does anyone know if these are still available? Can anyone think of any problem with running the tractor without the gear in place, as long as I close up the system without the gear?
Thanx
Ron

Keep an eye on ebay, hydraulic pumps for SA's show up weekly. One from an A, SA, B, C, SC, 200, 230 will work. You can get a reman pump only from CNH for $300+.

Ron: I presume you are talking about the hydraulic pump. If you make a cover that keeps oil in, no reason why you cant use it. You should cover the system outlets as well.

Thanx Hugh. I just pulled the shaft and put the whole assembly back togeter. That seals it and nothings turning. Now I have to decide how I'm going to lift and lower that mower. Ron
