'49 M with an M&W live hydraulic pump. Have been losing pressure over the summer - when the tractor is hot and after using the hydraulics hard it takes more and more time & rpms to raise implements. Today cold full throttle couldn't raise the disk - bah. Have tried different cylinders/ topped off fluid etc etc no help. The ole pump is just worn. How much fun will I have trying to overhual that pump? Is there a trusted repair facility? How much would it cost? Parts availability? Special skills required? Your kind response is appreciated. The pump on my 400 did the same thing so I got a used one from Mike at Steel Wheel Ranch and it has worked great for years. He will treat you right ad it is much easier.

I haven't worked on an M&W, if it's similar to the IH one there is not much to it, just a couple of gears and some seals, but I don't how how available parts are that aren't worn, also. I'm sure you have checked the hoses, I suppose a suction leak is possible. If you are using Hytran, you might try 30W, as it is thicker and will work just fine.
